We live near the beaches of Presque Isle State Park along the shores of Lake Erie. If it's the weekend and Erie's sometime temperamental weather is kind, you can be sure we're at the beach
sailing our Hobie 16.Lake Erie is an ideal place to sail Hobie Cats because of the often strong winds (even on sunny days) and the almost unlimited space to sail in! Erie is not only a great sailing spot but also provides some of the most beautiful sunsets that we think there are.
We usually launch the Hobie from Budny Beach , near beach 10 on Presque Isle State Park. On a sunny and windy weekend in the summer 8-10 Hobies on our beach is the norm--more on those really windy days!
There's nothing like flying a hull and holding it for eternity!!
