L'Arc de Triomphe

The Arc!! Located at the end of the Champs Elysées, a broad avenue in Paris, is l'Arc de Triomphe (The Arch of Triumph). L'Arc de Triomphe is the largest triumphal arch in the world. It commemorates Napoleon Bonaparte's many victories, (and apparently ignores his exile and early death). Like La Tour Eiffel, it is a symbol of France as well.
The ticket! Who?
This is a ticket that will take you to the top of the Arc. Well, it's actually a scan of an actual ticket, to be completely correct. At any rate, from the top of the Arc, one can see all the way down the Champs Elys&eactue;es. It is a stunning view, as you can see in the next picture. Much like the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier here in the United States of America, France also has a tomb dedicated to such a (n unknown) person. This tomb lies beneath l'Arch de Triomphe and contains the body of a soldier killed in World War I.
What a view! This is a view from the top of l'Arc de Triomphe. If you were seeing this, then the Champs Elysées would be behind you. In the distance (to the right), you can see La Tour Eiffel.
As always, Paris.org has some pages about l'Arc de Triomphe
